How to Wear Houndstooth |

Can we say how amazed we are that houndstooth is still everywhere? We started to love houndstooth way back when we discovered how popular it was among University of Alabama fans (their spirit is contagious), so it makes us so happy to see it stick around.

It’s classic, it’s elegant, it caters to both to the young and the old and most importantly – it’s an easy print to work with.

Lately, girls have been asking us how to add color to their houndstooth outfits; their main concern being that they don’t want to be too loud.

This season we’re pairing up our houndstooth separates with Fall’s colors: red, burgundy and camel. These colors create a more classic and clean look.

Fall Colors that Match Houndstooth

If you want to be more bold, we recommend pairing it up with any color from Pantone’s Fall 2012 Fashion Color Report. Our favorites are Ultramarine green, pink flambe or olympian blue . As mentioned before – it’s an easy print to work with, so don’t be afraid to experiment with color!

A little side note: We wouldn’t recommend wearing other prints or graphics with houndstooth. Stick to solids!
