We’ve been following all the fashion weeks pretty closely – NY, Milan, Paris, London, etc. We’ve found new designers we loved and were amazed by the artistry and craft of our favorites.
We noticed some Spring 2013 Trends that have inspired us and were present through many of the collections.
Yes, they’re coming back. These will be springs version of the “cropped pants, except we won’t see baroque inspired prints, we’re predicting delicate florals.
This trend started a few seasons ago, but its here to stay. This sexy style (if done correctly) shows just the right amount of skin without being too revealing. Notice that this time, cutouts aren’t completely bare – designers are making use of sheer fabric to renew the trend.
Black and White
Oh yes, do we love this one. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Do we need to say it again? It’s just so classic and timeless, you can’t go wrong with it. These colors are a crossover between all ages and can work for the young as well as the older ladies. By the way, did you spot the houndstooth like we did?
Marc Jacobs mastered the striped for spring 2013. Horizontal and diagonal, no matter the direction… stripes will be everywhere. We imagine it won’t be as dramatic as the Marc Jacobs collection, but they’ll be on tops, skirts and dresses.
We noticed the sportwear inspired dresses last year in Isabel Marant’s collection, but all designers came around. This style is perfect for the girl who wants to remain comfortable, casual and stylish. They key for sporty attire is simplicity; less is more.
Other trends we noticed: Bright colors, metallics (we love that its staying), head to toe prints and monochromatic outfits.
Here are Pantone’s predictions for Spring 2013 Color Trends:
We’re so inspired. Are you?
